Sacrament of
matrimony
Preparation for the ceremony of
matrimony
Congratulations on your decision to marry! Through the centuries, the
Roman Catholic Church has upheld the sanctity and permanence of the
Sacrament of Marriage. Based on this solidly biblical belief and realizing that
the decision to marry is one of the most important of a lifetime of choices,
Holy Trinity Church is pleased to assist you during this special time of
preparation.
You will want to begin by meeting with a Holy Trinity priest no later than 6
months before your wedding. The importance of sacramental marriage
makes advance preparation both essential and enriching.
PREPARATION
Contact the Parish Office to make arrangements to meet with a priest in
order to begin the preparation process.
When you speak with a priest, the date for your wedding may be set.
NOTE: If you are planning your wedding during a special season of the year
(i.e. Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, Pentecost), it is likely that the church
will be specially decorated. These decorations will reflect the theme of the

sometimes involve artwork hanging from the ceiling of the church. THESE
ARE NOT REMOVABLE. Therefore, we ask that you be aware of these
seasons when setting your wedding date.
