MINISTERIES
LITURGY MINISTRY
ALTAR SERVERS:
Young parishioners who assist the
presider during the liturgy.
ALTAR SOCIETY:
This group takes care of the worship
linens, altar candles, and cleaning the
church. They meet second Tuesday of
the month in the Parish Conference
Room for recitation of the rosary at
9AM. followed by a business meeting.
They purchase the altar bread and
some vestments for the celebrations.
EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS:
Assist with distributing the Body and
Blood of Christ at Eucharistic
celebrations and at communion
services. Ministers may also bring the
Eucharist to the sick, elderly, and
shut-ins at home, in convalescent
homes or the hospital.
LECTORS :
Members of this ministry proclaim the
word of God during the liturgies.
MUSIC MINISTERS:
Music fosters a sense of spirituality and
unity at liturgical celebrations. Consider
lending your voice or instrumental skills.
SACRISTAN:
Prepares the worship space before the
liturgies. Duties include: putting out the
gifts (bread and wine), preparing the
microphone for the priests and lector,
laying out the proper vestments and
books, etc.
PROPHETIC MINISTRY :
R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation for
Adults)
This team assists adults inquiring into
the Catholic Faith or prepares those
who have not completed their
sacraments of Baptism, First
Communion and/or Confirmation.
OUTREACH MINISTRY
FOOD BANK:
Provides emergency assistance of
clothing & food, each Tuesday 10-12
PM.
YOUTH MINISTRY
YOUTH GROUP:
Meeting of youth to reflect on God,
Church and humankind. Friday 7:00
pm at the Parish Hall.
TEENS GROUP
Meeting of teens to reflect on God,
Church and adolescence. Friday 7:00
pm
at Religious Education Center.
